There are several programs that can block access to Web sites. The problem with them is that you have to manually disable the block.
However, with Focal Filter it can be done automatically. FocalFilter is a free productivity tool that helps you focus by temporarily blocking distracting websites. You just have to set the time span for which you want the block to exist. The lock on these sites will persist until the time has elapsed, at which point you can extend the lock or unblock them.
Using Focal Filter is quite simple.
- Run FocalFilter.
- You choose which websites to block.
- Set how long they should blocked for.
You can’t reach FocalFilter’s controls while it is blocking sites, and terminating it or uninstalling it before the time runs out will not remove the blocks. If FocalFilter is still installed, you can remove the blocks early by rebooting your computer.
